Why GhostVerb
AI text is being marked.
Here's what that means for you, and why we built GhostVerb.
Mark 1
Invisible characters
Some text comes with characters you can't see: invisible spaces, hidden symbols, letters from other alphabets that look exactly like ours.
They ride along when you copy and paste. They can show where the text came from, and they cause odd problems: broken formatting, wrong word counts, search that doesn't work.
The· results· show a clеar trend.
Looks normal. Contains two hidden characters and a fake "e".
Mark 2
Patterns in the wording
Some AI tools quietly steer which words they pick, following a secret pattern. The text reads normally, but software with the key can spot it.
Google already does this with Gemini (it's called SynthID), and other companies have built similar systems. Deleting characters can't touch this kind of mark, because the mark is the wording.
Why that's a problem
It follows your work
You might use AI for a first draft, then rework it yourself. The marks stay anyway.
It can be held against you
Detectors are often wrong, and a flagged document can cost you a grade, a client or a job.
It breaks things
Hidden characters cause strange bugs in documents, forms, websites and code.
What GhostVerb does
Removes the hidden characters
Every invisible mark is stripped out, in your text and in the result.
Rewrites the wording
Every sentence is rewritten, so the word pattern is gone, and it still sounds like you.
Keeps your document intact
Upload a Word file and get the same file back: same fonts, layout and details.
No one can promise how an AI detector will score a piece of text, and we don't. Please only use GhostVerb on text you have the right to use, and follow the rules of your school, employer or publisher. See our Acceptable Use Policy.
